Occupational safety-oriented approach is also applied in personnel selection. Before the start of recruitment, candidates are examined, according to various scientific methods, in terms of attention level, perception, reflexes, general behavioral approach, and other character traits that would affect job safety; and only suitable candidates are allowed to continue the recruitment process. Before the start of recruitment, health of any candidate is checked in detail by tests, controls and medical examinations by the occupational physician.

To this end, we undertake the following:

In our operations:

ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System is implemented effectively and proactively in our operations to detect possible hazards that may result in harm, to take necessary precautions, and to meet regulatory obligations and ethical requirements.

ISO 45001 management system not only shows that businesses comply with legal regulations related to occupational health and safety, but also increases productivity and efficiency in the workplace thanks to the continuous improvement of the workplace environment. In addition to determining the requirements on occupational health and safety, ISO 45001 is implemented in our operations in parallel with other management systems in accordance with quality and environmental standards.

We, as Yeşilyurt Group, are aware of the importance of training; our theoretical and practical trainings continue at the start and in the course of recruitment using in-house and external resources. Before the start of recruitment, employees are subjected to a two-day theoretical and a one-month practical training program. The personnel who have completed the training program are interviewed after the training activity audit. Candidates who are successful in this process start working at the workplace. Subcontractors are also subjected to training lasting between 4 hours and 2 days, considering their working time, the plant, and the risks they may encounter during their work.

Annually, in addition to trainings as per the relevant legislation, trainings prepared on a unit, department, organization, team and personal basis are provided to prevent occupational risks and improve occupational safety. Trainings are identified annually according to the needs determined by the legislation and the evaluation of the results of the year-end meeting.

Further trainings are added depending on the developments in the plants throughout the year, and also depending on changes in the equipment and in the working conditions.

Yeşilyurt Group also attaches importance to employee participation in the field of occupational safety.

Employee opinions and suggestions are prioritized. General or partial surveys are carried out, taking into account the suggestions and complaints submitted periodically throughout the year. Confidentiality and impartiality are kept in the foreground in the survey applications, and the data is not reported without anonymization. Problems identified with the results of the survey and evaluations are investigated and improvements are made.
